I'm usually on the peninsula for Indian food but this is my favorite in the city. Food is spiced so well. Service is correctly indifferent which feels right. Self serve on a few table items. Large portions.

Visit this restaurant on Juneteenth as a random yet eventful trip up to the city. This place is in a good location in the mission. When I walked into the restaurant, it seemed like they had a lunchtime crowd, which was good. They have so many options on their menu. You can see the menu on the wall or they have paper menus for you to check out. the service is you go to the counter to order your items and then they'll bring it to your table. During this time it's a self service so you would need to grab your utensils drinks to bring to your table. I decided to order an appetizer of samosas. The samosas were not pictured, but they were very delicious and tasty. As for my entrée, I decided to order garlic naan and sag panner. The sag panner was flavorful and decently spicy. The naan was amazing and garlicky. The other people in my party ordered the garlic naan and the chicken tikka. The chicken Tika, according to the other people could've been a little bit more spicier, but it had a lot of flavor. I would definitely recommend people to come here for lunch or dinner.

Honestly, I always enjoy my experience at Pakwan. My go to is their cheese naan, which in my opinion is the best naan in SF, possibly the bay. I usually accompany it with either an aloo mutter, bengan bartha, or a chicken tikka masala. Something that goes good with naan and is scoop-able. The workers are super nice and show a lot of hospitality. I really like the ambiance and how the dine in experience is as well with the music they play and how It has a family style vibe that makes it really inviting. Overall, one of 16th streets best eats. Enjoy!

After a night of playing tennis in Dolores, my friends and I walked a few blocks over to Pakwan for dinner. 16th Street was pretty busy and it was a warm day, so we sat at one of the tables. Our Naan came out steaming hot with a pretty heavy amount of garlic-oil. While the Chicken Tikka Masala curry tasted amazing, there wasn't too much chicken in it. I also got some Chai Masala and Kheer, both of which weren't too sweet and just what I needed to balance out the heavier dishes. I felt that while the prices weren't exceptional for the portions, they were reasonable. I'll be back for sure if I'm ever craving a quick curry in the area,

This is a Pakistani restaurant, which is in the area. He does have a significance of food and the flavors that they bring to the table. This is a pretty fast place. There's always a hustle and bustle. There's a parking problem so we took Uber but you gotta find parking on the road so make sure you plan this accordingly. This place is not busy sometimes but it can get really packed up in the weekends. We went there for dinner. We had to go order food on the counter, and with no time food was ready the service was super good , the place was neat and the people were really friendly. The ambience was not very very great, but it was not bad for the food that we had. It was not very expensive food. The quantity was pretty good. The only thing that I did not enjoy was a Hyderabad chicken dum Biryani, having potato in it. I like rest of the food that we ordered. The Nan was super soft and fresh. Love their chicken achaar. I would definitely recommend people to visit this place but don't expect Hyderabad chicken biryani though.

Pakwan is easily the best Indian restaurant I've ever had. The atmosphere was pretty cool. Felt like a young persons place to grab food with friends. Grab your own silverware and plates and find a seat you like while you wait on the most delicious meal. We ordered the Chicken tikka masala, naan, and chicken biryani. I was a little hesitant on the biryani because it seemed basic, but I'm sooo glad we tried it. So much flavor, so much chicken, just delicious. First time having it and I would definitely order again. The tikka masala hit the spot as always. Loved dipping the naan in the sauce. One of my favorites meals in San Francisco. Next time I'm in town I'll be back. Thanks for the awesome food.

Came here on a weekday night and there was no line but you go up to order! Good: - The food was amazing! The chicken tikka masala was really good and huge portion sizes. - Fast service - our food came out relatively quickly and really warm Bad: - Seating was outside near a super busy street, so we'd get interrupted by the sound of a blaring car horn Overall it was a good experience and it was super nice to have a lot of food after a workout class!

Food was bomb!!! There's plenty of seating inside. Our group of 4 sat outside. We hadto fight for the limited available seating, but were able to enjoy the sun. We ordered: - veggie pakora - saag paneer - chicken biriyani - 1 chicken tandoori leg - a few of us got chai - garlic naan Make sure to get the chutneys in the fridge, they were sooo good with everything. The chicken leg was comically small presented on a larger plate. There was plenty of food for the four of us and we all enjoyed it so much!
